When I first posted I somehow did not read all the comments that are on page 2.
I was able to meet with many patriots in the world of knives, including those form this form. It was an excellent time. I got in early Thursday and set up and very much enjoyed all full four days of the show.
The first Beinfelds Invitational Custom Knife Show was in 1962, this was #46. I believe it is the oldest knife show in the US. I talked to a maker who attended the first, and learned a lot about the history of custom knives and shows, hopefully there will be some articles in Blade along this subject.
I met a man who has devoted his life researching Remington knives, a short time with him resulted in knowledge I greatly appreciate.
Makers in the same area I was in sold over 400 knives, they obviously had what their clients were seeking. The patrons of the show were great folks and I met some outstanding folks, many from the antique arms and custom guns part that I would never have the chance to meet at any other show.
Some represent a slightly different culture that what we are used to, but if we can learn to communicate with them we all benefit.
I thank all of you who shared time with me and look forward to next year.
