Maybe some of you guys in the know can enlighten me, is there any other parameter than cut speed, perimeter, steel and thickness for pricing? for example, number of fires or something else?
I sent for quote a batch that included a lot of small parts and the price came almost twice as last time with no significant difference in perimeter, being the steel and everything else the same.

Thanks!!

The number of individual pierces will increase the cut time drastically. So a sheet with many small parts, each with many holes, takes significantly longer to cut than the same size sheet with a few larger parts and no holes if the material and thickness is identical. Many small parts are more work for the operator to account for when pulling them as well.

There are a variety of factors in laser cutting but the most important are total inches of cut, number of pierces, and material thickness, as thicker steels cut slower and take longer to pierce.

Thanks John! I imagined something in the line of that, but wasn't sure...
