That's the most interesting knife I've seen in a while! (Thanks!)

My initial reaction was "too busy" but the quality of the engraving evens that out.

Very nicely done, looks like a fine art knife, I'd be afraid of using something so nice.

Thank you so much guys. We really appreciate your support so much. :)
Anna

There are some photos in black.

Anna, this knife was very nicely made and engraved. It will make a great addition to anyone's collection. I have changed my thoughts on art knives, if I have to baby them due to scratches, dirt, junk, it's not for me. Make one with the nice engraving on the handle with a plain blade and it will be mine.

i purchased uncovsky's laser engraved folder and matching engraved blade. it reminds me of a few prints of engravings i saw in my youth. might have been one of those prints! the knife came in 1 week. it included the matching 'dog tag' id...nice touch!

as far as the knife itself goes, smooth-as-silk operation. counter-sunk screws for the handles would have been a nice touch, but would have detracted from the engravings of the handle with the obvious circular NON-engraved 'spacers'. the blade does match the handles - remarkably so...

to have PAID for engraving (hand-engraved) on this level and magnitude would have cost $2,000 USA (or more), and have taken 3-6 months lead time as a 'custom' book order. i am currently talking with such engravers about custom work for me, but what knife to pick, and why??

the container the knife was shipped in, with the cut-outs, was serviceable, and fine. shipping was FAST!

all in all, i am thoroughly pleased with the knife...it has idiosyncratic issues, but none that are really important. the quality of the knife, the components, the construction, and of course, the engravings, leave me thoroughly happy with the knife, and i am glad in retrospect that i took the 'plunge', and purchased it.

i would heartily encourage any other would-be buyer to take a similar 'plunge', and buy uncovsky's next laser engraved folder that is listed here, on bf's...
