Hey guys. Can anybody give a review of the Randall Laser Strike? Im considering a fixed blade and it seems this might be a good pick. Any input will help. Thanks.
I just got a Randall catalog in the mail the other day. If you are planning to order one from the maker, the current estimated delivery date is January, 2005!
I believe the "Laser Strike" isn't made by Randall Knives in Orlando.
It's a survival knife designed by Jeff Randall and made, I think, by TOPS.
I'm not sure about the wait / delivery schedule but I'm pretty sure it's a lot shorter than Randall Knives.
You might want to post your question in the wilderness survival forum (and also check for previous reviews there)or go to Jeff Randals web site. I think the url is www.jungletraining.com
Also, you can probably find a few comments on Ron Hoods web site forums www.survival.com
I know I've seen several reviews of this knife in one or more of those places.
There is a full size photo of the laser strike on the cover of the 9/2001 issue of Tactical Knives as well as a glowing review(pun intended) in the magazine. The reason for the pun comment is that the knife offers three ways to start a fire in the field. You might try web site tacticalknives.com but I don't know how much of the article is on the site.
It is made by TOPS, but is only available thru Jeff Randall.
