If you like being deceived, manipulated and stolen from, read no further, as this does not pertain to you.

Our Amazon Prime subscription does not expire for another month. I ordered a BK7 with free two-day shipping so I'd get it in time for an important trip. The package is being delivered by LaserShip, who have burned me in the past.

The first time it happened was for a Buck 110. It arrived five days after the "estimated arrival time," and three days after I got free one-day shipping from Amazon for expressing my dissatisfaction to their customer support team. Fed-Ex got the knife to me overnight and I could not be more pleased with their service.

This time I decided I wouldn't be insulted and condescended again. I checked the tracking number to see the website, which said the package was already being held in Carlstadt, about a half-hour away from me in ideal conditions, which greatly surprised me. I called the facility to see if I could stop by the warehouse and pick up the package myself and I was given a solid "yes."

It took me over an hour to get there; I was on routes 17 and 4 in rush-hour traffic and the clusters of signs along these routes are deceptive. I got lost at least twice; one wrong turn almost sent me into New York City! So when I found the warehouse I was really excited to get my knife. I showed up and talked to the secretary...

...who said the knife was not at the facility.

I was frustrated, but said nothing and got home (after getting lost two more times). I would just wait for the home delivery. Naturally, the woman called a few minutes later to say the package had been dropped off at the facility, and to ask whether or not I'd want to pick it up. :grumpy: This all happened yesterday.

A few minutes ago, on the way back from school, I saw an odd white van in the distance, with black and orange lettering on its side. Passing the van I noticed the courier was wearing a LaserShip hat. I stopped to talk to the man about signing for the package and walking home with it. He said it was fine by him; I gave him the address, which was just down the street about a hundred yards, and he looked for it. He looked on box labels and customer listings, and he did not have the package. He insisted it's probably scheduled to be delivered another day. The website, in contrast, says the knife is "out for delivery" from Carlstadt as of 5:06 AM. (They've had over 8 hours to get it to me by now, when it took me just over one hour to find them despite never being in Carlstadt in my life. These are people who navigate streets for a living!)

I've dealt with LaserShip two times, and both times I've been disgusted by their service. If you order knives from Amazon and see this courier listed as your deliverers, cancel the order immediately. My family is not paying for Amazon Prime to be given late deliverance, and neither should you.

"Delivery attempted. Time stamp: 3:50 PM."

While all four of us were in the house. What, did the guy walk up to the door, deem it too insurmountable an obstacle, turn around and drive away? We heard no knocks, no doorbells, and the mailbox is untouched.

I've had pretty bad experiences with LaserShip, too. I don't know why Amazon.com uses them, especially with their Prime service.

FEEDBACK is good, we learn whom to avoid. Make sure amazon knows about them too.

I can imagine your trip to Carlstadt, I'm in the same North Jersey area in Pompton Plains. Rush hour on those roads is a crime.
New Jersey used to have signs "Men Working". Now they say "Construction Zone" because no one ever saw anyone working there.

I've never even heard of them. I used the free trial of Amazon Prime for 3 orders and every package i received came UPS.

I'll definitely avoid this shipping company at all costs.
