Last direction with hand sanding

I haven't finised a knife yet, but I am working on my first batch of four.
Three of them will have a satin finish.
How do you guys finish with your last grainsize, handle to tip of spine to cutting edge?
And why?
My gutt-feeling says handle to tip.
 
when i have hand finished my knives i am always done handle to tip. part of it is becasue that is the flow of the knife. also, if you for from spine to blade you have a tendency to "roll" the edges. or i do. :o where you arent going flat but "rolling" over the edges wiht leads to a less crisp look and a crappy edge (i have found)
correct me please, i am new at this

A slightly rolled edge acually has less drag when going through meat. In my experience.
