Come on, I'm sure we all have one! What was the last cut you got from a knife.
I'll start it off. I was holding my Scrapper 6 in the Kydex sheath slide out and cut my Pinky finger :[

How bout you guys?

I hadn't cut myself for a long time and bang, 2 times in 2 days. Yesterday with a new Kershaw Skyline -- pretty much took the end of my thumb off :o , then tonight I sliced the index finger on the same time with a Kershaw Junkyard Dog II. Hmmmm, must be something about Kershaws. ;)

Day before yesterday, first blood ever by any of my custom Japanese kitchen cutlery. Was cutting strawberries and watching tv at the same time, didn't take into account the knife was a razor and sliced down into the end of a finger. It was such a clean cut there was no blood on the knive blade and it took a few seconds to even start bleeding but once it did it was a gusher...lol. A cotton pad and duct tape took care of it and I finished up slicing the berries. Which by the way were the first of the season grown here in northern Indiana and were freaking outstanding served over homemade ice cream. The usuba at the bottom was the culprit...

mora stainless, my designated kitchen knife....

after a few passes on the sharpmaker that thing is ultimate scary sharp!

so sharp it will bite w/o pain, until you realize that you are bleeding!

i used to consider my delica a razor 'till i bought one of these puppies!

Define what you mean by a cut??? Paper cut bleed or stitches bleed??? :D

Paper cut bleed was doing some flooring trim under a work table mostly by feel and I felt the blade a bit too much... Right index finger about a month ago....

Stitches bleed - Let's just say I did a real stupid move that I would rather not admit how I did it.... 2 months ago on the same finger - 8 stitches... :(:(:(:(:(

I will state that I now tape the heck out of the blades I am working on now and always move away from spinning wheels to check the fit of a stone.....

The last one was a few days ago. I just recently picked myself up a Kershaw Speed Bump. I've been playing with it a bit... open/close/open/close/open/close, as I'm sure you can imagine. Well... I managed to close it on my finger. I guess I'm just not used to the whole stud lock mechanism. I'll just say it's sharp as hell.

As far as cuts requiring stitches? I've done that, too. 17 years ago now I was standing around in my parent's garage at about 1:00 in the morning drinking beer. I got down to my last can, and went to open it. Well... the pull-tab came all the way off, but the can didn't open. IT WAS MY LAST BEER. Because I was drunk, I decided that stabbing the can open would be a good idea. So I pulled out my Gerber Mk1 and, while holding the beer in one hand, I stabbed at the top of the can with the other. I didn't even put the can down. The blade slipped off the top of the can and sliced right into my palm. It cut deeply. There was fat hanging out, and everything. I looked at it and said to myself... "this is going to hurt tomorrow." 9 stitches.

My last cut was when i was flipping my kulgera closed with the axis and the point caught my palm. I did not feel it and it did not start bleeding for about 10 seconds.
The one before that was a little more serious with my minirukus slicing off part of the tip of my thumb because i was cutting chicken with my thumb under the chicken and talking to another scout in my troop at the same time. The irony of that situation was that that was the weekend i was teaching totin chip. :)

A couple of weeks ago. Becker Necker. Wasn't used to the short handle, and I pinched my finger between the edge and sheath while reinserting.

my last really bad cut that deserved stitches (but didn't get them because i waited too long to go into the ER) was when i was cordwrapping a knife handle without taping the blade...that was about two years ago, and i have never done any work without taping the blade since. took a big slash out of my pinkie on my left hand...

i took a chunk out of my index finger on the bench grinder last week...

but i can't remember when i cut myself more recently on a knife. i am a bit afraid of getting cuts, so i guess i am very very careful with sharp stuff...

Bought a Case yellow peanut recently. Felt sharp on my finger, so I thought I would whittle a little on a stick. Sliced my finger immediately, and when I tried to close the knife I sliced another finger. Small blades can cut big. :D

last cut was a few days ago when i was cleaning/maintaining/sharpening my blades, wasnt paying attention and got nicked on my left index. last cut that SHOULD have required stitches was last summer when i first got my scrapyard yard hood, was putting it in sheath and managed to remove a lot of meat from my thumb. I was in the middle of nowhere tho (walked in) and couldnt really do anything but apply pressure and bandage it until i left a day or so later

This goes along with the "You bleed, You buy" thread that has been popular the last few days. I was checking out a Case slipjoint, a Razor pattern I believe it was, and I had opened the pen blade to check for walk and talk, and when I closed it my pinky finger was in the pathway. Received a nice cut because the blade was fairly sharp. Bleed all over the place and had to get several paper towels from the sales women, who incidently asked me if I was familiar with knives, and then went on to demonstrate the "proper" method for closing the knife! Yes, total was my embarassment:o:o:o!!

i cut myself recently while making a kydex sheath for a BUSSE SAR 5, nothing bad, after forming the sheath i used a little to much force to get it out and it sliced my palm a little.

An auto went off in my pocket as I was visiting my bro in the hospital and the chair had a thin upright under the arm rest, about 3/8" and it just happened to fit into the croove where the fireing button was,a freak thing really, and when I put my hand into the pocket, yup, there it was, ouch!

I was in this barfight and somebody stuck me twice in the hand when I was down. But, I was lucky I had my .357 Ruger Mag. So, I shot and winged him in the butt. Then the fight ended and everybody went home.

(NAW! Just Kidding! But, It could have happened!)

I got nipped by my Delica. I was closing it, and the blade tip got my hand at the side of the part where the index finger and hand meet.

I had just received a kydex sheath for my FFBM. It literally fit like a glove. Well it was really tight trying to get it out. In one of those moments were had I set it down and come back later I probably would not have been cut. Instead I gave it one of those He-Man by the power of Grayskull tugs and ended up getting 6 stitches on one of my fingers. Bled everywhere. Realized after soaking through a couple gauze pads that super glue wasn't in the cards. I guess all in all I am glad I didn't slice the finger off as you guys know the FFBM is a monster blade.

When I was just getting into kitchen knives I got a cheap set of Chinese made Henckels... sliced my index finger. This was New Years Day 2007. Took them back, got some very expensive German made Wusthofs. Haven't cut myself since [knock on wood].
