Last knife cut you got?

Last cut? Got it from an Boker RBB folder. I was out in the woods with one of my fellow knifefriends, doing some chopping with my Heavy bowie and my BK9. We also tried some knifethrowing with our Glocks and he nearly lost his as we usually wouldn't be hitting anything.
He had the RBB with him, I took a look at it, disengaged the lock like I would do on my Byrds and let the blade drop...bad idea! My index finger got hurt, but the bleeding stopped pretty fast. That was my first cut since last year's summer, which is pretty good for me...

Last Monday... and Tuesday... a Strider bite and then a Sebenza stab :grumpy:

I was using my SnG at work and sliced a small piece of flesh off the side of my thumb when I closed it. I put it away that evening and went back to my small regular Sebenza that I've been EDCing for a few months.

Next day I was using the Sebbie at work. When I started to close it, I shifted my thumb to use the fleshy part that was away from the area where the Strider bit me. Unfortunately, I rotated my thumb upwards, opened the lockbar, and pushed the back part of the blade (one of the sharpest areas) about 1/2" into my thumb just above the nail.

Now I'm EDCing my Caly 3 lockback, lefthanded :D. The girls are on "extended penalty holiday" in their boxes for playing too rough.

I fell asleep sharpening a mora 2000 and cut my eye lid almost taking out my eye, it scared the crap out of me because I woke up with my eye in pain and blood everywhere. The cut healed nice but I can feel the scare tissue giving me a constant reminder to be more carefull and not so stupid.

At work my Pro Tech (tip up) opened in my pocket. Stuck my hand in to get a lighter and ran my finger down the blade. Had to go to the dispensary at work but could not show them the knife it happened on. Picked up one of my smaller slip joints and took that with me . Told them it must have opened some how in my pocket????? Real careful going into my pocket when carrying that knife now. No substitute for experience!

About 2 weeks ago I was careless and sliced open the tip of my finger with a razor sharp Spyderdco D'allara Drop Point. A few 4x4 guaze pads and a strip of duct tape and let nature do the rest.

You guys are a bunch of sissys. Here is my latest manly cut. Next I week I start my new job feeding myself to sharks..

Don't know how to follow that lovely picture up there, but three weeks ago tomorrow I cut my left index finger and thumb with my Mini Grip, shortly after stropping the daylights out of it. Was doing something I should have been wearing a cut resistant glove for but I forgot I even have them (have two for woodcarving). It will not happen again. Thumb healed up within a few days, index finger is taking longer since it got the worst part of the bite. Almost there, though. Probably could have done with stitches but the last time I had to get stitches, the bill was outrageous.

Does an axe count? Sixteen stitches about a month ago. Just slipped out of my hand and hit my leg on the way down. Oops.

Lets just say that I need to buy a new bottle of Liquid Bandage. It probably gets used more than it should.

let's see, my last minor one was last night. I was sharpening my great-grandfathers straight razor my mom had given me earlier that day. My fiance walked in the room and I turned to talk to her and the tip of the razor made a clean slice all the way across the tip of my thumb, about 3/16" deep or so right underneath my thumbnail. Piece of tape fixed that one up though.

my last cut that needed stiches was while using my Kershaw Leek to cut a zip tie a few months ago. We had just bought a 50" Plasma TV, needless to say I was excited and probably being careless. Well, I had also bought some tie-down straps and was cutting the zip ties off them to strap the TV down. I slid the tip of the Leek under the zip tie to push the blade through and cut the tie. Well it cut it and kept on going right across my right index finger between the first knuckle and my hand. Cut through my finger like butter all the way to the bone. We had to unload the TV and take it back in the store to hold while I went to the dreaded E.R. Went to the E.R. and after waiting for 4 hours before I even got in(I guess coughing kids are higher on the triage list than a guy dripping blood on the floor!!) I finally got my 5 stitches and then FINALLY got to go get my new TV!

Justabuyer wtf happened there lol.

I can't even remember my last cut lol, the only thing close to a cut is a scratch from trying to get a knife to shave with a corase whet stone lol. I haven't got stitches since i was 6 when i fell down and opened up my whole chin lol.

whhhhuuyyuumm......... Oh I lost nearly an hour here passed out. I sat Juatabuyer's pciture... puked and passsed out...... Ohhh the room's spinning again....... blucchhhhh.......

Must hit escape......

I had let my native go way too long before oiling and it required too much thumb force to open. I finally got around to giving it the TLC it required and it was opening with very little effort.

I officially forgot that it was easier to open and put some oooomph into it and gave myself a more than a little nick into my thumb.

Direct pressure and a taco bell napkin... good as new.

Got a new one since my last one. It was my birthday yesterday and i was using my great uncle's old slippie, that he gave me and that i sharpened up, so it is now the sharpest knife i own, to open my presents. Well my thumb slipped out of the nail nick when the blade reached the halfstop and the point gave me a nice little cut on the tip of my middle finger. Oh well some direct pressure and a bandaid from the pharmacy and it is good as new.

Maybe I'm just lucky, but I'm extremely careful with (intentionally) edged tools and have never cut myself with one. Perhaps that comes from the possibly excessive caution I carry with me as a woodworker - tablesaws, bandsaws and the like can create horrifying injuries in a moment's time and unless you give them the proper respect, you can find important pieces of yourself in places they're not supposed to be.

I have, on the other hand, cut myself countless times with screwdrivers, putty knives and the like when working around the house.

I cut myself 2 days ago from a mora i put a handle on for my gf. i was removing the tape when the tip cut.

I am now considering letting her use it. I know i was careless.

One thing i do is I wear a glove when taking out a knife from a drawer or container.

What is that sticking out of the wound in two places? You win ,man.

My last cut happened years ago trying to sharpen an oldtimer pocket kife while drunk, missed the ceramic stick and sliced the back on my hand pretty good.

I saw justabuyers' pic on British Blades a couple of days ago.

The thing sticking out is a drain to allow the wound to heal from the inside, otherwise you risk the skin healing over a void inside. That was a bad cut, I don't think I've ever come close to that standard!

Unless the last time I shattered my thumb with a sledge hammer counts?

Sorry if this is disgusting, not sure the site supports hide tags?

My last cut just barely broke skin. It was with my Hinderer XM-18. I was trying to close it one handed and had my hand in the wrong position when was trying to push past the ball bearing.
