Well I kinda screwed it up but salvaged it. the buffer tore it from my hand and broke the heel of the blade off in a half moon the size of a half dollar. I reground it and made a second finger gaurd no one would have ever known. Made from 440c with my own custom mosaic pins and a Ramin burl handle todie for. RC of 58 and custom fit vegtable tan leather sheath I made and stamped.

Sorry the pictures dont line up well. Havent posted for a while.also I forgot to mention the blade is hollow ground.
 
were you going for a mirror polish?

looks like you might have buffed a little to much on your grindline, it looks a bit washed out near the tip ( you might have been pressing hard, part of the reason it cought the wheel)
 
My pictures are not very good the blade does have a mirror polish . I was also using a new buffer that im not use too so thats the biggest reason I had troubles. Ill change over to the other buffer tommorrow.
