Joe, your knives are superior cutters and feel perfect in-hand, and your leather sheaths are sturdy and have a 'snap in' fit as if they were kydex.
I hope this is the last we see of the $80 pricing. It simply is not fair to you.
When i have the time, i plan to do a few simple cutting tests with one of your knives and a Dozier and a Krein.
I will not be surprised if your knife 'out-cuts' the other two.
Another thing that i like about your knives is that look like a well made tool. Too many of my knives are closer to being a work of art, and i don't want to mess them up. Even if i do carry one of these, i can only bring myself to use it gently.
I don't get this inhibiting feeling from your knives. They fit in my hand naturally and seem to say to me "O.K. let's go", as if i'm being encouraged to push it to extremes.
$80 is an insult to both you and the knife.
with respect, roland

And, i would have bought this one too had i been here in time. (I bought Turkey #2 yesterday)

Willpond, i just got back from the post office, yours is in the mail.

Thanks everyone for the kind words, Ill start a few more today.

Roland, thanks for the encouragement, Im looking forward to{and am excited about} your tests!

Thank you, if it works as well as I think it will, I'll be back for more! Will need one for my wife, and one for my daughter. Keep making them!!

roland, I just tested the one of that group that I am keeping. on my 3/4" manilla rope, one strand of it, about 3/8" thick i think, the blade made 50 cuts before it quit shaving, then went to make another 100 agressive cuts before I ran out of rope. all of this was done on a bathroom scale, with rolled up newspaper under the rope on a wood block. the weight of my left hand and the rope and block was roughly 20 pounds, and at the 1st cut the scale registered 28 lbs, and the last cut {cut #150} was at 35 lbs, I usually call it good when it takes 40 lbs to make a cut.

Joe, i think you are an amazing person. certainly very thorough and you can figure things out for yourself. Not me, i need to be shown everything. If knifemakers sold stocks, i'd invest in you now, before the rush happens.
