I finished this one today. It is a lapel pin. The blade is 14K white gold, guard is 14K yellow gold, handle is MOP, and pommel is 14K white gold - set with diamonds. The pin back is 14K white gold. With mothers day coming up, some knife maker may score points with the little lady ( and justify the KMG he ordered). List price will be $250 with a show special of $150.

That funny line at the guard is a reflection.

Cool idea Stacy and even better job. What's the overall length? Got me guessing on how you attached the the hinge/pin on the back side of the MOP handle. $150 seems like a fantastic deal for such fine work and with the gold market close to $1,000 per oz.

The MOP is mortised onto the tang, sort of a 3/4 tang. The pommel is soldered to the tang. The knife is only one sided. I bore some of my mini's handles with a #80 drill bit, making a roughly 1/100 of an inch tang hole.At .01" ,tangs are really small.

Fred -
The OAL is about 30mm (1.25"). The pin parts are gold soldered (1250F brazed) onto, the knife.
