I forged this blade several months ago for a customer, but I made a mistake when patterning it, and the "butterflys" don't run all the way up the ricasso. That's all that's wrong with it. The welds are perfect, and the grinds are good too. But since the pattern didn't come out like it was supposed to, I decided to put a simple handle on it, and sell it at a reduced price.

Specs:

Steel: 1084/15n20 About 300 layers in a butterfly pattern

Hardness: 58ish

Blade length: 18.5"

Total length: 23.5"

Blade thickness: 1/4" at guard

Handle material: Black paper micarta, 416 stainless guard

Price: $750 + $15 shipping

I can take paypal, check, or MO. Please send correspondence and paypal to phillip at pattonblades dot com

Edited to add: I'm sending this off to be photographed, so if you buy it, delivery might be delayed a week or so.
