Last post due to membership fees

I have no problem supporting the forum and I have never sold a knife here. It is well worth the hours of pleasure and the knowledge I have acquired here.

LOL! :) I'm rolling on the floor here in Remulak ... that was one of the most successful trolls I've ever seen -- 22 replies in less than eight hours! (And this makes 23, of course.)

I'm tempted to open a new account and post (as my first post) "This will be my last post here because you guys are so mean to newbies" and see how many replies I can get in eight hours ... think I could get more than 22? Anybody want to make a small bet? I can post it in the Blade Discussion forum; nobody there ever reads this forum so they won't know there's a bet on.

I would use the email address "anonymouscoward@hotmail.com" to post that troll with, but unfortunately I can't -- somebody beat me to it; that address is already taken. Oh, well ... maybe I can think of another one just as good....

Hey Spark,

This fine gentleman has truly brought to the attention of us all a flaw you have in your membership policy and fee structure.

If someone is going to post like an ass****, you should have a fee assessed to each moronic post and charged directly to their credit card. The only requirement for anyone to post in BF would be for you acquire their credit card info. If they act like an ass, they get charged. They be nice, the credit card info stays safely tucked away in your locked filing cabinet. How about $10 per idiodic post? You just might be able to retire early!

Oh! I know, I know! The Super Moderators could become Super Chargers, applying charges to people's posts as they get out of hand! You can call it a Babysitting Fee.

Or, how about testing people's IQ. They get assessed a charge if their IQ matches either their shoe size or their age?

Just my input. :)

Courgar,

I think you might be on to something here. Is a BF moderator bored and trolling again? ;)

Amen, knifenerd! I've never sold a knife here but through the forums I have been able to meet many makers and fellow enthusiasts. Many of these folks I am honored to count as good friends of mine. Not to mention learning a lot too. All this IMHO is worth supporting the site financially.

Some folks just don't get it, I guess

...if Spark took your advice *How about $10 per idiotic post?* I'd be in the poor house 'butt-quick'... :p

2 posts, a goodbye, and not even a reach-around? Sheeeetttt...

Please don't let this poster's ignorance of our rules reflect poorly on the huntamerica forum. I'm active over there under the same handle as I use here. I don't recognize the afvoo name from that forum and it wasn't turned up by a search. Although I'm not an official representative of huntamerica's owner, I can't imagine that afvoo is acting on behalf of the forum or its owner in a misguided effort to drum up business.

The two moderators of the knife section at huntamerica (of which I am one) are both active here. We both CONSTANTLY refer huntamerica members to this forum when a question exceeds our expertise. I've always believed that the two forums are complementary, not competitive.

Personally, I think the for sale forums are just fine here. I have sold a couple of knives that I listed both hee and on Knifeforums and both times the knives were bought by members here. Whining because you have to pay to sell knives on BladeForums is pathetic, in my opinion.

I doubt he works for hunt America, if he does they are not getting good value for $$ spent, the link he put up doesn't work. I dont ever recall seeing him on KFC either, but I dont visit every forum there.

Is that some kind of virus from Washington?

(I've never sold a knife here, and probably never will. The $30 I paid is just a small reimbursement for the priceless knowledge I have gained by being part of this Internet "knife family")

Bye guy!
