MAKE ME AN OFFER - I NEED THESE GONE TODAY!
For sale -
1. Globe Cutlery pen knife and custom leather pocket slip. Leatherwork done by me, by hand in my shop. Globe was in New York from 1921 to 1929. The great depression forced them out of business in 1929. They imported knives from Germany and Austria, as well as an unknown American manufacturer and distributed them throughout the U.S.
Very few are still in existence today.
This one is in exquisite shape for it's age. Right around 100 years old.
Appears to have most, if not all, of the blades intact.
Nice half stops.
Pull is 2/3 0n both blades
Good snap.
From "All About Pocket Knives"
Globe Cutlery Co. was located at 31 Union Square, New York City. They dealt in pocket knives and scissors. Their knives were contract knives. Other companies made knives for them, but I couldn't say which companies. Their knives were made in either America, Germany, or Austria as far as I know. Julius Richter owned the business. Like catt said they operated from 1921 to 1929.
