Here is the last tactical of the batch that I did. I went a step further on the handle scales with your guy's comments. I rounded the scales, then used a dremmel to scallop them. I even left the tang edges cerakoted.

How does this one sit with you guys?

I personally think it's great. I think leaving the sides cerakoted makes it look more finished. I even like that it's a tactical knife with a leather sheath. What kind of steel???

The steel is 1095. With the last one having dark earth cerakote and coyote scales the satin tang edges looked really cool to me. Some guys didn't agree, so I left this one this time.

I've said before that I like the blade design, it's right up my alley (which is surprising for a newer maker). I think this one is your best one yet out of that batch IMO, the contours look softer. Although I did like the Coyote colored scales a little more (I've never been a fan of foliage green or OD green, or any of the tactical greens).

It almost has a persian feel to it, the shape and the leather sheath add to that. I give it a

Your scales on the MT18 are above and beyond though. I think you've got much better work in you than this (not knocking this one, just acknowledging a huge potential there). I look forward to what's next.

A Justice - I hear you and thank you for the kind words.

I did a batch of three tactical knives and I wanted to try the scalloping on them. This is just what I decided to do with the scalloping on this last knife. The last one with the coyote brown handles I liked more, but I got comments about rough spots and the handle not being contoured enough, so I softened this one up, (kind of looks like a turtle shell IMO ) and this is what came out. So this is just the final product of what I thought the comments led me too, maybe.

Honestly I don't like the scalloped handles, I wanted to try it though. The knife was done before the mule was done, I just did extra work to the handles and needed to make a sheath.

Speaking of the Mule. I will finish a sheath for it here soon as well..... wink wink. Stay tuned for that.

Weatherman, This knife looks like it would be comfortable to use. I really like the looks of eased edges with the scallops. Well done. Jess

I love your harpoons man. I liked the bare edges more just because I've never seen it before with Cerakote and to me it really popped.

In all honesty I kinda loathe Anso scallops just because it seems every knife "pimper" (no disrespect to them or what they do, I just don't like the term) seems to want to scallop the crap out of every piece of g10 they get their hands on, at least at first. Seems played. Now that I've shat all over the style... :D I actually like the pattern you have on these scales. I only have one knife with somewhat similar cuts so I don't know how yours feel, but they look very comfortable. Did I mention that I like the blade profile? A lot? Also like the scoop near the lanyard hole. I've seen your other work so I know you can do great lanyard tubes, but the way you have it done here (and last time) looks perfect for the style of knife. I'd prefer kydex on that particular blade, but your leather work looks pretty solid.

I love it. Great job.

Edit- btw I'd be tempted to include a lure on the lanyard since the scale reminds me of a fish trying to eat the lanyard hole. :)

I'm with the count. The knife looks good, not my cup of tea, but looks well done. The sheath looks great! But needs some fancy wood or stag sticking out of it.
Good job on the two, just don't match that well, IMHO

That is a great looking knife you got there. Tactical isn't really my style, but I like it. I am just curious on how you attached the scales without damaging or scratching the finish. I would like to pick up some duracoat or something similar to try out

I fit the scales before cerakoting. Then attached them after coated and used alcohol to wipe off the epoxy.

I am not to worried about the sheath knife combo. I don't do kydex so leather is what it was going to get.

Don't take it as criticism, tht sheath is outstanding! And if you can do that, you can Certainly do kydex, if you wanted to. I think the leather would look great black. Just how I sits with me, not that opinion matters.

You make a good point. I wouldn't post and ask what you guys thought if it didn't matter. The sheath is part of the "package"
