latchless BM42 = almost impossible

Now that I have a 42 I find that this would be almost impossible. Look under the latch, it is rounded out in there. Flattening that out would be next to impossible I think.

So, back to my search for a BM latchless.

Anyone willing to help a fellow balisonger out? This is a serious inquiry.

I'm thinking about ordering a custom from ChuckG (not Gollnick). I'll have to talk with him about not milling the stainless handles all the way...

then don't flatten it mon ami =) you can always fit and finish a piece of steel there right? it is not the end of the world. as long as zee Mole is aerouwnd. sacre bleu!

I would like a nicely rounded, closed bottom to the handles... I could whack off the latch and even trim the handles down but it would look just as bad as leaving the latch on and having it scratch the knife up.

I'll have to wait for my custom...
