Jerry

.

Thanks, Jerry. I almost pulled the trigger on that BWM LE several times before, but my finances were not quite in order. I'm good now. It's hard to retire when folks keep bothering me with job offers. So now I have a great part time job to finance my Busse addiction! I am so glad I didn't miss this one. It's my kind of big knife!:D

Oh wow! I just got back in and checked my emails. I got one from Lexi saying that my BWM LE would ship this afternoon! Oh yea! Thanks. Lexi. :D:thumbup:

It is so sweet!!!!:thumbup::thumbup:

It sure is, Amy-0. It came in today's mail!

After a little lunch of home made Thai style pork fried rice, I'll take it out and whack something with it!

So, here is my take on the BWM LE. First off, it still has that light fast feel of the CG model. It may weigh a touch more, but I didn't notice any difference in use. Mine came reasonably sharp except for the belly area approaching the point. I fixed that on the Kalamazoo. Then I gave the whole edge a good strop on my paddle. Then I wacked some bushes!

It slices and dices green palmetto stalks like it was celery.

Balance point, like the CG version is near the middle of the choil.

The BWMLE chops quite well, going through this dead hard wood impressively.

I cleaned it up with the ever popular WD-40, and put it on my display stand to admire. My Rainwalker sheath should be done soon. Until then, I'll just admire it.
