Latecomer to the Para 2. Not that late, but late. I was concerned because I was lefthanded and some warned me off. I see what they mean (playing with it) but my new camo w/black blade is elegant simplicity. Yes, not up there with a Sebenza but a step below and, of course, cheaper. In my mind they followed KISS --- something I really believe in and I have not yet found anything wrong with the knife. It's a bit early (a few days) but I could see this knife lasting a long time and competing with my more "tactical" looking blades. Speaking of blades, although it is 4mm (I think) and S30V (not soft Chinese steel or anything) it is very sharp!

I wonder if they should make a bigger one and replace the Military? (No offense to Military lovers.) I mean the leaf style comes in many sizes/flavors , why not the more typical blade style and cool lock. It's lightness (3.8oz) compared to my other blades is a good counterpoint, too. i bet a large one would be perfect at about 4.8oz.

I've loved the Para2 since I got my first one.
It hadn't really appealed way too much and I got a trade offer for one and took it.
Once it was here and in my hand, I fell in love with it.
My first was the Camo/Satin and my EDC/User for quite a while.
Ended up getting a spare(Black/Satin) but traded it off because I didn't feel like I really needed a spare.
Later on down the road a good trade deal came up and I traded off my user PM2.
I've missed it since just a short time after I traded it off.

I now have one coming in(Black/Black) that should be here today or Monday.
I don't plan on parting with this one. I even want to get another one just so I can have two to mess around with. I would love to own a few different ones.

It's a great knife, that was very nice of your friend. Use it and enjoy it!
I plan to carry mine with my Sebenza.

I decided to buy a PM2 for BOS because I knew that he'd appreciate it. Although he owns many Spydercos, when I learned that he never experienced the PM2, it gave me an opportunity.

I, too, am late to the PM2 game. I have been EDCing a Scott Cook Lochsa for over six years, and consider the CRK Large Sebenza (of any variety) and Strider SMF to be near-equal substitutes. When I bought my first Spydercos last month, the PM2 rose to the top, in terms of what I expect and appreciate in a folding knife. I honestly couldn't find any faults with it. The best to characterize my feeling of its compression lock is that it didn't look that good on paper, but upon inspecting and manipulating it hands-on, I came to appreciate its simplicity and strength. In other words, I love the PM2.

Anyway, enjoy the PM2!
