Tony, you have a big fancy stereo. When it was all tabulated, it looked like like the output wave form of a clipping amplifier.

Sorry I'm not a tech geek... I go by the tools that god gave me... in other words what I hear.

And the "stereo" isn't fancy... just sounds good:D

It looked like half of one of these waves:

That's what happens when an amplifier tries to make a nice sine wave but runs out of steam when the gain calls for an output voltage higher than the power supply rails.

The secret to stopping clipping is to get high sensitivity speakers so that you can make more dB with less watts. When you need 400 watts per channel, either something is wrong or you are trying to fill a small auditorium with sound.

One of these days I'm going to finish my line array speaker project.

It all depends on design. Mac's Line array is driven by two sets of 2,000 watt amps, each amp is in four boxes!:eek::eek:. Sounds great.

Audio Notes sound great too... driven by 5 watt amps.

Lots of ways to "skin the cat";)

I want a Blaze Orange and black Meaner Street!!:)

The "Halloween Meaner". I like it!!!

Or how about orange w/an OD blade. It could be the "Pumpkin Meaner".

Heck, I'll take anything with orange G-10!!! Pretty Please....
