Here's a knife I just received from Chris Christman of Top of Texas Knives

Yep, another "Den B" (after Dennis Bible aka Shootist16)

Visible temper-line, stainless pins, burled maple dyed teal green. 1/8" O1 tool steel.
The handle is about 1" thick, and fills up the hand in all the right places--it's quite
comfortable. Chris is doing some great work!

Here's Chris's web page if you want to contact him. If you can come up with a good enough design maybe he'll name a knife after you too!

Congrats Steve! Looks like you got a good one!

Chris, Good work buddy. Keep it up. BTW where did you get the maple burl? I really need some like that only in black or charcoal grey.

I know that I love mine. I am not kidding when I say that it is one of my most treasured possessions. I would part with every other knife I have before this one. Pictures cannot do the knife justice. The handle is superb. One of the most comfortable i have ever used. The fact that it is made by a gentleman like Chris makes it all the better. Here are some pics of mine:

Boy, I tell you, a guy takes a piece of metal and glues a handle on it and gets a lot of pats on the back. It sure is nice to be able to make something that someone actually likes. Hey y'all I appreciate the kind words.

Gary, I got the stabilized teal maple burl at Texas Knifemakers Supply. This wood is pricey but it sure is pretty.

George, I sure plan on having one of these at the Central Texas Knife Show next month.
Marti and I sure are looking forward to being at the table next to you and Carol in Austin on the 4th, 5th and 6th.

Wulf, I agree with you, I think that knife does feel real good in the hand.

Steve and Dennis, I'm sure glad y'all like the knives. Its been a real pleasure making them for y'all.

Steve, those are some really excellent pics that you took. Guess I need to get you and Dennis to teach me how to get some good pics. Hope you guys don't mind but we're gonna use these pics on a webpage that my webmaster(wife/boss) is building for me.

Again, thanks for the kind words.

Chris

George,
I can guarantee you there are going to be several fantastic makers. Some that I have had the fortune of getting know. I've got some more knives that I have designed that I will bring to the show. I hope I can get all of the knives that I've got in process finished in time for the show. How about you, George, are we going to get to see some of the tried and true favorites of yours? Is there anything new on the horizon that we can expect to see?
