I finished this one yesterday. It is a bit different.
Blade started as a billet of gold and silver. Folded twenty times and forged round, then forged into the dagger blade. The handle is narwhal. Bolster and cap are gold. Guard is platinum with gold tips. Oh, blade length is 1" and OAL lengths is 1.75". I plan on making a gold/silver momume sheath for it.The pommel is threaded with a 6/0 tap to screw on the threaded tang. Maker's mark is 4mm across.

Thanks, I am going to try and make one mini a week for a year. That may be tough at Christmas time, but the rest of the year it should be fun.

The four I started today ,at work, have platinum blades, gold guards and pommels,and mammoth handles.Blade lengths are 10mm,5mm,3mm,2mm.

p.s. dont you feel nervous when buying all that platinum, gold and silver? I wouldn't feel as bad if i lost a billet of 5160

edit... I missed the part of it being a 1" blade, the detail threw me off!

I didn't hear back from you so I figured something else was in mind for your weekend sorry we missed each other again Stacy not much chance of it again.
