Unused as received from Dan. CPM3V steel with black G10 handle sand stainless pins. Blade does show some cosmetic lines here and there on both sides.

Found a generic pouch sheath that fits this one (although not specifically made for it) to sweeten the deal.

I was trying to see if the handle is contoured in any way or if the scales are simply flat.

I couldn't tell from your picture or from Dan's picture on his "2009 Bushcraft..." thread.
 
Here's a pic. slightly contured mainly in front of the grip not on the flats of the grip.
