Just received my latest LCC. I had purchased all three of the blade finishes with the titanium bolsters. I wanted an EDC, so I purchased a stone-wash model with the aluminum type.

Took it out of the box. Not one blemish. Lock-up is tight, with the liner lock engaging the far left edge of the blade when viewed from the bottom.

Razor sharp. My last one went right to the Edgepro, but this one was right from choil to tip.

Clip was the "solid" design, no cut-out design. This is my first solid model. I wondered about the strength of the other type, but none has bent or loosened up

One more thing--the knife smells like Tuff-Cloth! An added value service.

I'm going to use this thing hard, but responsibly--no prying or axial stress. I'll let you know how it holds up.

Yes, they are flat black. If I'm not mistaken, some custom builders can polish them or re-anodize them quite easily. Like I said, this is an EDC, and while I don't think these bolsters are as attractive, I still think this is a quality knife.

I forgot to mention; my knife is marked "154-CM." That's fine with me, it's one of my favorites. I heard a rumor that a newer type of steel is being used. I do not remember it's exact name, and I cannot find the thread. It seems something like "14-40" or a number similar. Does anyone know what this is?
