I'm looking forward to this knife coming out. Thanks for the update. Will probably end up getting two of them, one for me and one for a friend thats heading to the sand box in a few months.

Guess there will be 4 more to add to my collection... cant wait. Money sitting in a checking account on standby.

is there an updated pic of the H.E.S.T with the scales on it out there if so i would like to see it

agreed, would love to see the updated pics with sheath and handle (and the plastic pod if possible :) ).

From the link that posted CNPhoto, the price is 129,95 (MSRP) but the serialized ones are sold at 139,95.

From what i understand for the signed knife it will be 139.99 for the unsigned 129.99.

the price is a bit higher than I had expected to be honest.

Me too ! For that price I think I will pass on it and buy another RC5, or a few more Izulas (its about the same size).

If you want a signed serialized original, you'll pay a premium. The street price on the production model will be reasonable. It is an interesting design, carefully thought out, and you know it will be well-made.

My Izula is a lightweight knife I can tuck away in a pocket and forget it's there until I need an edge. The HEST is a bit more complex and fills a legitimate niche. I'm at the point of needing smaller knives but I appreciate the capabilities of its specialized design.

Would you actually use a signed & serialized knife, or is that more of a closet queen keeper? Please, what I stated before, its just my opinion thats not worth 2 cents and please no offense to anyone. I was saying for the price there are what I feel better bargains made by RC. To be honest, over the last few months I have purchased at least two knives per month, and 90 % have been RC knives, I would buy used toilet paper if it was made by RC, because I know its the best darn used toilet paper on the market (and cuz RC is the sh*t).

No such thing as a collectors RAT. Being a member of the family is what counts!

I'd beat the snot out of it like Pelton intended. :D

Well me too, of course. I don't need a signature to make it a great knife! :D

that the signed knive will be sold first and the knives that are not signed
will come on the marked later suckes!!!!!

Why ??? That's pretty much standard procedure for all companies. The pre-production, the serialized, the club models go out to the in-group, then the general public gets to line up for the regular production model.

These are knives that will hold up for years and years -- another week or two before yours arrives shouldn't be too bad! :D

(Pre-order, pre-order!)

The street price on the regular production model will probably be in the $85.00 - $95.00 range & the special edition models will be sold for $139.95 with Robert Pelton being the only one selling them.
