Here's my latest kitchen knife. It is my first hidden tang knife.

7" CPM 154 blade
4.5" Walnut burl handle
Overall length 11.5"
416 SS butt cap & guard

Handle contoured to fit the owner's preference (Mother-in-law)

Sorry about the poor pictures. Yes, I really need to build a light box...

Please let me know what you think. All comments are welcome and appreciated.

That is really sweet wood! The red and black spacers add to it nicely as well. Nice work!

That's a very nice knife Eric, a class act all the way! You know how to get on the "right side" of your mother-in-law. ;)

That is SWEET!!! That is a real nice design in the handle. How is that handle working out or how does it feel using it? Great job on all of it.

Thanks for the great comments guys. It was really fun designing the handle to fit the preference of the owner. We used modeling clay to decide on the optimum shape before sculpting the wood.

How is that handle working out or how does it feel using it?

Wade, she loves the way the handle fits her hand. It's just how the model felt and she is very happy with how it fills her palm and gives her finger tip control. It matches exactly how SHE uses a knife of this type.
