Good morning BF's members. I have a couple to list,just in from John Lloyd's shop in St. Louis .


First up......

This knife is a 3.25" closed trapper,with a " saddle horn " style frame . Single warncliffe blade. Opened up it measures 6" . Blade is 2-5/8" with 2-3/8" of cutting edge. Mill relieved liners,pins & front radiused & beveled bolster,all ss. Blade & spring are 52100 carbon.Hollow ground blade,thin & sharp,crescent nail pull & satin finish. Glass smooth action on the pivot. Pull is a 5,no more that that. Pinchable to open. Creamy mammoth covers. Blade centers,spring is flush. Perfect carry size. Ships in a leather,fleece padded storage case. Fit & finish , and " walk ' n ' Talk " are really great. Fantastic work by John.

This custom hand made slip joint folder by John Lloyd is a "Gunstock" frame. Professionally dyed India Sambar stag handle scales,thin,perfect color & texture,perfectly matched & hafted,just fantastic. 3-3/8" closed , 6-1/8" open. Blade measures 2-3/4" with 2.5" of cutting edge. "Sabre" ground styling,on the clip point blade,with crescent pull & satin finish. Spring tension is a 5+ to 6 depending upon how you interpret that , and I can pitch this blade open. Hollow ground blade,and spring are 52100 carbon steel. The pinned & inlaid ss shield on this knife is a pretty cool Federal variant. I do not think I've ever seen one just like it,very unique. Mill relieved liners & pins are ss. Bolster is also ss and the front is radiused and beveled. Nice firm action on this knife, spring is flush,blade centers closed. I don't think I've missed anything ,accept to say don't miss this one.
