Figured y'all would want to keep up with what's going on. This is an email I received from Stella a bit ago....

Hi Daddy
Thanks for the laugh I needed it....Jessica is improving but still some issues have to bring her down off of 2000 mg a day of steriod and she has to have insulin for awhile till they can get her off of it cause she is having high sugars...Just what she needs that doesnt help her healing..She is still on morphine for pain and is in still a lot of pain so we will see....Her lungs have improved and so that is a good thing...Just thought I would give you a quick update my phone is dying so had to do it this way.....

One tired and worried Baby Girl........

I have a way of keeping Stella cheered up a little when things are at their worst. I'm really, really, glad she thinks I'm funny.
The sometimes not so small gift of making Stella laugh goes way back to when she was just a wee little girl.:)
Even a small bit of laughter can do a way with a ton load of stress....
 
Holy Moly, Yvsa. That poor kid.

I grew up thinking we had most of the worst diseases beat- and we did. But this Planet still has more than enough sorrow to go around.

Glad to hear this; sounds like she is making some improvement! Too bad she is still in so much pain though. Will keep smoke and prayers going from the West Coast and God Bless.

As for that, I think many of us here, myself included, would gladly take on her, and others, pain if it meant that they would be able to live a normal childhood. Continued prayers.

I'm glad to hear she is doing better. :)
I'm sure hope they'll be able to get the prednisone down to a much, much lower level now that most/all of the inflamed tissue is gone.
I hope you see a huge improvement in her health.
Truely no child should have to deal with this miserable disease. :mad:
