Hey Guys, a lot of people mentioned that my site should add something, rather than just sell woods. And I agree. As many of you know, I have been keeping a list of some 75 odd woods that can be used for knife making, and i just finished up the latest version with information from my book "Wood Identification and use" as well as adding a passage about stabilizing which I hope to expand.

Check http://greenbergwoods.com/wood-information-and-identification/ to see the list, and please let me know with any comments, questions, concerns or advice. Thanks a ton guys.

Photos have been added. If you have made a knife using woods from me, let me know and I will post it to this list with credit and a link to your page.

Ben, you would get much more Google love if you were to put each different type of wood on a separate web page. This way you can add a different meta description and meta keywords for each page you have. I notice as it is now, you're really lacking with this meta data. The meta data is your chance to tell Google's spiders what the page is all about and lets you direct what type of traffic is sent to your site. I took a quick look and on most of your pages the meta data is blank. Also, you can SEO your images using good file names, descriptions, alt text and captions. All of these are things that search engines use as part of their algorithm that directs traffic. SE spiders have no clue what your photos are. You have to tell them. Doing some research on SEO and implementing a few things will really improve your ranking in search engine results.

BTW, I got the blocks of wood I purchased. Good looking stuff. One suggestion as I think someone else told you, stuff some paper in the box so the blocks aren't bouncing off each other on there 3000 mile journey.

Big roll of brown paper just arrived today Chuck.

I have plans for doing more SEO, but this is midterms week so i have been a little busy.

I said it before and I'll say it again I'm new so my opinion doesn't carry much weight but I really do think that you need to add some hardware. At the absolute minimum some SS pins. But just my rookie .02
