Looks like rubber stall mat material

You're close. It is actually belt material from a big round baler. It is a rubber with 2 different layers of webbing reinforcement.

Very nice clean and crsip work there Chris. Does that fit on a belt or on a saddle billet?

It just has belt slits in the back similar to what a factory model would have. I had offered to do a pancake style but he opted with the slimmer profile.

I've seen some that has a rounded tab on the top part of the back piece. The tab has a couple of holes on it and so can then be bled onto the saddle strings under the rosette just behind the leg on the saddle. Make that addition to your pattern and a guy could carry it on his belt or on his saddle. The tab would stick up above the pliars about an 1.5 inch to 2" and would be kind of bell shaped. Top part of the bell would be what would go under the rosette.

Dave, I had thought about making a couple just to have on hand, I'll have to add some height to the pattern and add the holes.

Here is another pancake... handle on the knife is flame colored osage orange.

Chris really nice work there! Stamping is uniform and crisp, stitching the same and the dye job too. A solid professional job like that can go a long ways to selling a knife. Good job. Knife looks pretty darn clean too!
