Lathe help needed

I need adapter stubs so I can use different contact wheels on my TW90. Contact wheels are held onto a TW90 by a 3/4" metal rod. The original wheels come pressed onto the wheel bearings and then held on by snap rings. I have contact wheels with 1/2" ID bearings and would like an adapter so I can use those wheels on the TW90. So here is what I need. 3/4" rod. It needs to go all the way through the tool arm (1-1/4") plus a 3/8" offset, so 1.25 + .375". Then it needs to be threaded 1/2" rod so the wheel can go on it and I can tighten a nut on the end to hold the wheel. The wheel is 2" so figure the threaded portion would be 2-3/8" or so. I'm not a machinist so I don't know how difficult this is. If anyone has a place to buy something like this, or another idea that would be fine too?

Travis used to sell one, it was a 3/4 rod with 1/2" threads inside and you use a 1/2" bolt. I think this should work as well, you may have to grind off the lip. - http://www.bungking.com/1-2-x-13-stepped-handlebar-bung/
