Hard to say, Auntie surprises us all the time. She just might have one.

My first trip down I held one during show and tell. Its another one of those that didn't sing right off but now that I see the picture here it sings quite loudly. Definitely on my future want list too.

Well my current blade lust is led by the 24" Teardrop Sirupati. A close second, thank you very much, would be a Giant Spear Vala. Unlikely any of these will show up anytime soon but, you never know. Likely, my priorities will change before they might, the more I surf old posts and cool pictures are posted by HI Formites such as you. I realized the other day, I've only been here two months and at twenty-three. Kinda scary. "Auntie, I'll gladly pay you Tuesday for a Khukri today."

The 24" Teardrop Sirupati might have been a special order. I've been on this forum since 2011 and I don't recall ever seeing one except for photos from "the old days."

Same for the Giant Spear Vala. The one that ndog has is the first one I've seen for sale here. I have a somewhat smaller one by Sher Kami, but I got mine at an auction site and it also was probably made quite a few years ago (though in perfect condition).

You might try emailing Yangdu about both models. She can tell you if any will be coming down the pike soon, or she can make it a special order (which might take months, but is worth the wait).

If I'm not mistaken, I think there are only about 6 or 8 24" teardrop fuller sirupates in the wild.

The first one was bought by a collector who wishes to remain anonymous.
I have the second one made.
I believe JayGoliath has/had one.
Not sure about the rest, although I seem to remember a few being sold after I got mine. I know at least two of them were not special order and were sold here on DOTD.

Thanks for the information Karda. Yes, I've watched your video many times over and over. It/they are a thing of beauty IMHO. Hopefully some day the stars will align in such a way one will end up in my hands.
