Layered micarta?

I had a question about making layered micarta. How often do you change the fabric color when making this? Do you do 2 layers of 1 color, then another two of another and so on?

You can do it however you want depending on what effect you want and how thick the block is. You also have to think of the angle it is going to be cut. The steeper the angle, the smaller the line will be when you cut it. I am soon going to be laminating some nice micarta to a blade, and it will be ground all the way up the blade, so the layers will show up much wider that way than if it were a steep angle on a handle. You can do what ever you want! That's the beauty of making your own micarta. Try a few different patterns and see what you like the most.
