I have owned my"Uncle Henry" LB7 folder since about 1984 or so, It is my only Schrade knife, and honestly I remember buying it because it cost less then the Buck 110 I saw at the same hardware store. Could someone tell me about these models and how common they were?

Akula, they were very popular and very common. They still are. Many fans in this forum. After owning one for 25 years, what do you want to know about it?

Not trying to be a wise guy, but if you put LB7 in a search on this forum, you will find more information than you ever imagined. Is yours a 3 pin or 4 pin? What all do you use it for?

Thawk is right. Do a search on LB7. I just got my first ones this June and I've edc'd one almost every day since. I've learned a little about this model and if you want to learn too, you're in the right place.

i've owned an LB 7 since about 79 when they first came out and it remains my favorite knife. fits well in my jeans back pocket with my billfold and it is useful at all times despite the larger size than most knives. having quite a few starting with 65103 and up to AA i can relate with the collecting bug. not as good as codger or some of the other fine gentlemen here but hey we all started somewhere. you might look for a nice LB 8 which is same knife with staglon handles and it is a bit larger and heftier.
