I am putting up one of my LBKs (little big knife)
Generally I have a "woodsman", "SERE" and "Combat" selection. This one straddles the line between SERE and Combat.
Overall length of the knife is 9 7/8 inches, with a blade of .215 thickness 5160. Generally the SERE will be .18 to .19 thick, and the combat often runs a full .235 through the tang. Blade length is 4 7/8 - again, pushing my normal 4.5 inches out a bit.
Heath treat is a full quench and temper. When doing 5160, to generate some differential I will run the spine of a distal tapered spearpoint along the edge of the tank, which generates a bit of difference in hardness from the spine to the edge. In any case, tough is the word.
Full convex ground, finished with a strop. Easily maintained with a hard backed strop, too. Blade has a slight swedge and a moderate distal taper.
Scales are ziricote with 1/4 inch brass pins. Handle length measured inside the guard is just shy of 4 1/2 inches. You can see my standard size L hands on it in the photos.
I did something a bit different for finish work this time, leaving the rough and forge marks right near the guard, and finishing to 600 grit on belts. I generally hand rub down from the 320 stage on, but this looks quite decent (and doesn't take any LESS time, go figure)
Sheath is an explorer model, the belt hange is fully adjustable and removable for other methods of carry. All stitching is harness style, double needle, done by hand.
For those not familiar with the LBK- it's a short, beefy, "big knife." Rotte did some testing over here:

And, asking price is $225, SOLD
Knife is number 471
paypal, money orders, checks, large quantities of droewors and biltong, all acceptable.
thanks for looking, and enjoy:
