I was wondering what the difference between the LE's and the Custom Shop version Busse knives were, as far as rarity and differences between the two.
Thanks D,

The LEs are ordered on the website, for a period of time.

Some custom shop pieces are one-offs, complete custom specs ordered directly from Busse. Others are built for special offerings like the Ganzaas, shows like Blade/KC/Easton etc.

The net effect is that only the janitor knows how many of each were made... And he probably forgets pretty quickly after drinking his JWB.

Thanks Dwaine, I was just curious as to the rarity of the indivdual pieces. Maybe the janitor needs a secretary to start writing this imformation down.

Or is she also drinking with the janitor? :D

Thanks D,

I hope that I've had enough coffee to clearly post...;) I'm not really a morning person!

IIRC...

LE's are usually satin & Tigerhide micarta, either canvas or linen (there are exceptions... Black paper micarta like the BWMLE, and when they had snakeskin micarta, this was offered)... They are serialized, but can run out of sequence... Say (for example) Busse sells 205 BWMLE's... Numbers 1-200 are taken, but 5 folks wanted higher numbers, like 250, 357, 465, 650, and 777. This might look like 777 LE's were sold, but that may not be the case. Although Busse will make as many as ordered while offered, LE's of each new model are only offered once, and never again.

Custom Shop pieces are more limited, usually. There may be only one, a few, or a small run of a Custom Shop model, and when they're gone...they're gone.

I'm pretty sure that there's been an exception here and there, but this would probably be somewhere "back in the day".

EDIT: Looks like UUDwaine beat me to it!! Man, I type slow... :)

She is probably drinking Coors Light and eating Clark Bars...

It's because of that big font you use... :-) Smaller font is more streamlined and faster.

Jaxx, So the custom shop pieces would as a whole be more rare. Thanks,

Sure. Custom Shop Busse's are usually variants, or have a unique color combo, natural material handles, 'teeth', etc., so a particular custom shop Busse is pretty much just that...a custom.

:D:D

A day without coffee is a day without sunshine! ;)

ABSOLUTELY... I am just finishing my first one now...

Thankfully I live right beside a Starbucks, A Dunkin Donuts, and a small independent cafe.

I'm a bit of a coffee snob... :o Although I will drink coffee from Starbucks, usually whatever they have caffeinated with a doubleshot of espresso thrown in for good measure... For home brewing, I have my beans shipped to me from J. Martinez in Atlanta. That's great coffee!:thumbup::thumbup:

Thank God that the Wavery Hotel in Atlanta (BLADE Show location) has a Starbucks in the lobby!! :D
