hope to try for some more formal bm only and usage pics later but ran out of time. can't describe how happy i am with it. also happy with the heft and mag handles, both of which i had been concerned about. one thing though, air chops can result in pain! oh well, from now on will have to make sure i sink it into something. sorry for the number of pics, i was probably a bit too excited...

The pics are awesome! Congrats on your LE. I like mine more all the time and it looks better with use IMO :)

I concur...love the pics. IMO, you can never have too many pics. BTW, is that a Ganza SJTAC variant that you had stripped there? I won't pull mine out of the safe to check, but if it is, I like it nekkid!!! Very good looking!

Nice picks! Just got my LE also and I couldn't be more impressed.

As for the SJ, I like that texture on the blade, as is. When I strip mine, if it looks like that I am not going to polish it out.

O5rd,
Boy, that close up of your LEFBM satin blade makes wonder if I want to use mine when it arives. I would hate to get marks on it. VERY nice blades...

Nice blades, killer pics! That SJ looks awesome next to the FBM LE

honestly, i wasn't going to use mine immediately (although it was destined to be a user soon enough) and i lasted less than an hour. i have done so medium chopping and even battoned it without so much as one discernable blemish to the blade. i couldn't resist using this knife even if i had a cg lying around!

yeah, that's the one. i think busse must be doing some new machinging as the "infi dimples" are patterned all over the primary grind. so far getting these out is a chore. apparently infi has its way with sandpaper, 3 hours and still on the medium grits with the dimples still laughing at me.

thanks everyone for the comments. please make sure and post some pics of your le's as there aren't nearly enough around here, especially the users!

Great pics:thumbup:
You did capture The sheer size of the FBMLE really well...

Those pics are very nice! And you got a nice little collection! :D

05dr,
Great shots!
that Infi dimple pattern is Neat!
Curious, any corrosion/patina problems with those dimples had you left them like that?

The dimples are a product of the heat treating procedure. Before, when the main bevels were hand ground, the dimples were removed on all of the main grinding area's. However, the new knives have their main bevels cnc machined on, and then they are heat treated - wich is why dimples appear on the main bevels now, since the bevels are already ground into shape beforehand, and never really touch a belt sander/grinder after heat treating.

At least, thats what I've gathered :)
