LE or CG??

LE or CG comes down to which feels closer to perfect once you get it into your hands. For me - all I know is the the Zero Tolerance BM felt a bit too light and the CGFBM felt a bit too heavy. I would like to feel the BW LE and CG each in my hand before saying which is closer to perfection for me. I tend to think that the CG because of the large blade width and 10 1/4" length will be just about perfect for me. If it feels too light - then the BWMLE is the way to go. Too bad we can't get a first-hand look before buying. I don't have a lot of change sitting around so I can't buy both to decide which one to keep.

:eek:Man, you guys are spoiled when it comes to blade thickness!

Really, no one but an INFI addict would call a 3/16" thick blade thin. ;)

But, I have to say the CG model will make a nice EDC.

Not even a question: go with the LE. Loom at that beautiful sabre-ground Bowie clip. That thing is effin' sweet, man.

What're you waiting for?

Im with you there.

Personally I love the blade on all of em, bt the handle grooves really don't appeal to me :( Ill be passing on this guy sadly

Don't!! Easiest thing in the world to get a different set of grips for them. Say smooth wood, for example. I'll bet Garth would go for that. Or hand-smoothed micarta.

Definitley getting the CG, either blk on blk or tan canvas on tanker grey blade...maybe both.

I'm sorry. I was wrong about the blade thickness of a typical machete. Normally they are .08" not an 1/8th of an inch. One eigth of an inch is .125. So the difference between a Bushwacker and a machete is quite big. The Bushwacker is much heavier and inflexible. The machete has some "play" in it while the Busse does not. My two sense!

I would've jumped on the LE if it was flat or convex ground. The CG should be fun to hack around with though...

If you are a one-blade guy, get the CG. If you are "get a bunch" get an LE and a CG. If you are a "buy a bunch and use them to fund future purchases" get a bunch of CG's.

Reason: Look at the original prices of the CGFBM and current prices. 20% markup on a regular basis, if not more. FBMLE? Usually around cost. The cheaper blade actually gets better mark-up in resale.

In related news, I also forsee a pile of guys trying to unload a ton of TB's in the next 5-6 months at cost. Too much opportunity to grab one and it seems a lot of guys kept ordering and ordering. Just an observation.

For the ones that have base options yeah that's likely.

The ones with lots of options will be worth a lot more IMO. :)

I'll be getting one CG, probably tanker grey on black canvas. Won't be rushing into it though. Bank account needs some recovery time, likely including selling a few items. I skipped the TB, but this one's too nice to pass up.

Here's a something for reference:

3/16" is approx .190", or the thickness of the newer Meaner Street.

The price and paper grips on the LE sealed it for me. One, or possibly two CGs for me. Black/Black and/or Black w/Orange+Black G10. I can't wait.

That's funny, black paper is the main reason I bought one. To each his own, I guess.

Don't get me wrong, I love the look of it. I just think the Canvas will have more grip, which I think is important for a chopper.
