Leaf Storm came today.

Really nice pics, man.. I can't wait till Kevin comes out with his Wilkins Grips for that knife, the pics look amazing.

I just saw those grips on his website.

That's sharp. The more I see it the more I like it.

It's rough, that's how it is with a lot of Spydies. :)

Nice shots. I can't pick up where this "dust" is.

Look right above the pivot screw in pic #5. Now you'll see it in the same area
of the frame in every pic. Most will never notice but when you are a DSLR
user you see stuff like that immediately.:grumpy:

Nice! Looks like a beautiful little beastie.

It seems like you either love or hate that particular shade of G-10 (G-11?), and I happen to love it.

I would love to see a UKPK with those color handles.

Nice, Scotty. Did you get yours from SpydieGuys?
When you solve the dust issue (and that can be a PITA), could you post a comparison shot next to another knife, just to have a better idea of the size? Thanks.

I patronized KnifeWorks on this one. Unfortunately I sold all my knives to
start buying new ones. I should a have a new UKPK (Drop Point) soon to
compare it. I have an AlMar SLB on hand are you familiar with that? I would
say the Leaf Storm is right in-between an CO-Pilot and a UKPK. It's not
small like the Co-Pilot and it's not as long as the UKPK. Size-wise it would sit
perfectly in-between the two.

I've been debating one, but it's just as expensive as the Sage II, which I decided to get first.

Leaf Storm = Golden CO.

For me only the Sage is expensive. The Leaf Storm is affordable.

I don't care how well made the Sage is you’re talking the same amount of
money for something coming from Asia.

OK, thanks.

Same here. I don't think I can justify the Leaf Storm when I can get a very similar knife with 2X titanium scales.

What I just realized is that the scales are two different sizes. I don't like that. I think that the Titanium and the G10 should be the same thickness. It just looks weird like that.

The custom model is the same way. There's a sculpted section of the G11 handle scale model:

That on the titanium/handle scale model is a separate piece:

I'm guessing that's why Spyderco left the non-lock scale thicker than the lock scale. It also slightly adjusts the grip for the clip!

Thanks for the pics. The leaf storm is high on my want list. Seems like the perfect little Sebenza substitute for EDC.

I really like this knife, the street price seems a bit high for me. Hmm, who knows. It may be a manix 2 after all.

Mine are on the way - I got two. I'll be sure and post pictures and thoughts when they arrive. I should be looking at a long week or so because they are in transit to my dealer first.

Was never a fan of that slime ghost G-11, but this piece is growing on me. Looks like a very cool little knife.

Very fine attention to detail, staying true to the original custom concept.

Great pictures!
