This another smith who understands that a very good sheath is essential for out door work.

I'm trying to make it out but there's a LOT going on in that blade finish. :D Is there a plunge grind or is this scandi?

This is best I have to depict the grind. It is a shallow arched convex primary with a micro-V secondary..... very close to full convex so you might as well call it that.

Man, that is beautiful. I have been admiring your knives for some time now and am saving the pennies for either a bushlore or the bushguppy. Will be contacting you soon, I hope.

Thanks for the compliments, guys, I've had a few orders for similar pieces... but nobody's taking this one:confused:.... maybe it IS destined to be my personal carry, afterall... the wife can't say I didn't try, right?:D

Anyway... back to the top for another round.

That is really nice and looks like a workhorse! Looks like it would carry well.
Great work Rick!

you guys are missing out. Rick is a very talented knifesmith. his knives are among the BEST user knives being made today. when you have it in-hand, you will know.

Lost my job 3 weeks ago, otherwise I'd be all over this thing. Rick, I have a file of all the leafblades you make that I see on here, and all the slight variations in the ergo of the handle and the grind of the blade... and every time I see another one I decide I like it the best.

Thanks Guys... it looks like this one MAY be sold.... just awaiting confirmation.

Roland... I have had a chance to email you, my friend... I trust the tanto is performing well for you?

Payette... thanks for the compliment... I will be releasing a new version of the leafblade very soon. I am really diggin this one, too... interesting bevels... you'll see.
