Does anyone know the person I need to get on contact with at Spyderco to get permission to machine a copy of the trademarked spyder to hang on my wall at home next to my other spyderco paraphernalia.

You have to get permission for private use like that? Don't quote me, but it's not like you're advertising or using their name for business purposes.

Just Email or Call Spyderco and ask them.... That would probably be the fastest unless they reply on here...

I just took a picture on my cell phone of the spyder bug on the box that my new endura came in. I planned to use it as my phones wallpaper. Should I ask permission first? :)

I don't think you'd be in any legal trouble by making a copy of a logo and hanging it in your home.
 
Well all the machinists I talk to about making the log for said they would need the permission release before they would consider doing it.

For something like that, the quickest method would be to call Spyderco directly, their phone is on the knife box or available at spyderco dot com. :)
