Learned a few things @ Cabelas tonight...

LOL i had the exact same experience. I had never had my hands on a contego until Cabela's and it took me exactly 30 minutes to order one online when i got home (Cabela's prices are silly).

I can't understand why everyone says the scales are hard on the hand. The one i played with at the store, and the one i own are both VERY comfortable. They're grippy, but not unpleasant

If you want to handle it you should pay for it.

If you want to bring up how much Bass Pro Shops and Cabellas take in in tax payer money, that is a different matter in my opinion.

Either way, don't fondle a bunch of knives and order off the internet if you want to fondle a bunch of knives in the future.

I would have deleted this but it was quoted so I can't. Apparently my breathalyzer on my phone was not working last night, sorry for PWI.

I appreciate your opinion, but i'm sure you'll understand if i ignore it completely. I buy from the company with the best price for the product I want. I will always do so, and if i decide to look at a display knife in a store, well, that's why they have display knives. If they want my business, they can set their prices competitively.

It's not the scales that bother me on that design, it's that pointy projection that pokes me in the 2nd/3rd finger area. I found that really uncomfortable.
