I originally had this long drawn out post planned about how I got into knives, tried literally every American brand under the sun, and finally settled/fell in love with Chris Reeve knives.

They are absolutely everything I need and more. I would of saved myself a lot of heart ache and money had I started here first!

I’m relatively new here and wanted to show off my left handed EDC companions. I’m Zack & look forwarded to getting to know the community!

That's some collection of "Lefty Love"! 👍
Now: you need a Mnandi. 😁

Welcome, looks like you are all set - what a lovely collection. Make sure to check out the dedicated forum if you missed it so far.
My EDC today is a Small Sebenza, just finished sharpening a minute ago.

Hinderer is now making a left handed knife. Since they just came out they seem to pop up on the knife exchange if you want to try another brand. :)

I’d love one if Rick would do a fuller non-flipper version!

Edit: I’ve tried most other major brands before getting to this point.

Welcome Zack. A very collection and Introduction. I look forward to sharing the journey with you. I too am a CRK fan that has branched out and returned multiple times. I agree on the Mnandi. There is all ways one in my pocket no matter what else I am carrying.

Nice spread and welcome. Note that there is a CRK subforum.

But since you post this in GKD, they are certainly fine knives, just a bit limiting in size, blade steel, blade shape and opening mechanism. And - no discrimination intended - I’m heavily right handed but for me the RIL is ambidextrous, no issues at all using it left handed, so it should be for left handed users, too.

I agree with you Roland. I didn’t mention what Ive been lured to as I thought we were in the CRK forum!

Congrats. Now sign out and never return.

I remember well when I thought that a Sebenza would make my life complete...and when my wife bought me a large / regular for my birthday in 1998, I was very, very happy.

But...it wasn't even a speed bump on the road to more and more knives, both production and custom, despite being a very fine knife (in BG-42).

Abandon all hope, ye who enter here.

I’ve been at this point several times over the last couple of years. I’ve always left to experience whatever the next big thing is as Shiros, holts, Medfords, etc. to find out CRK is everything I want in a knife.

All hope was lost the first time I bought a knife for $1000 and mentally tried to justify it.

This should be written in blood on the home page!

Thanks for the perspective, and welcome!

I’ve landed largely in the same spot, though perhaps got a bit luckier and got there faster. Prior to CRK, I dabbled in Benchmade (just one).

Anyway, I’m virtually all in on CRK small Sebenzas and Mnandis. A Rockstead Shu and Olamic Whippersnapper are the only other things on my list and the Rockstead is most likely a pipe dream. I’ll have to see what Olamic does with the bolster lock on the Whippersnapper when it goes back into production.

Do you have any idea where I should be looking for a left-handed Box Elder Mnandi?
