Learned the hard way

Nice CRK collection you're got there but the surprising part of your post tome is your second paragraph. If I could have started this process Again I would have actually followed the same route - going from kershaw to spyderco China line to Cold Steel, Benchmade, ZT and then Hinderer and CRK. The fun to me is the process of exploring not the destiny because, as much as I admire CRK, it is absolutely not the be all and end of all, not even close.

Do you have any idea where I should be looking for a left-handed Box Elder Mnandi?
Have you considered ordering one directly from CRK? I placed an order last week for a plain small sebenza and hope to have it next year by my 60th birthday. :)

...Got a 7 Month old Bog Oak on order. It would be easy to change the inlays on the order sheet, but they're still working on orders from 18 Months ago.
I'm just getting a bit impRient: that's all...

Awesome! My ultimate grail is a Large regular in BG42. Likely wont ever happen - but maybe one day.

Nice start ;), can’t wait to see what you add next. CRK, is the best knife for me when I’m working. I do enjoy and carry other brands as well. That’s led me to carry two knives daily. I’ve always got a CRK in my front left pocket and another brand in my right side pocket. That’s enough justification for me to have other brands.

I’ve been at this point several times over the last couple of years. I’ve always left to experience whatever the next big thing is as Shiros, holts, Medfords, etc. to find out CRK is everything I want in a knife.

All hope was lost the first time I bought a knife for $1000 and mentally tried to justify it.
Ah, so you’re an old hand. How did it take you so damn long to stumble in here? Welcome aboard.

I've tried a lot of knives, always to come back to my trusty tanto Umnumzaan

Mnandis have been tough lately and as you pointed out in a subsequent post, ordering direct is a long road.

My suggestion is to take a two pronged approach - place a direct order and comb their dealer list frequently. I suspect one will show at a dealer before they get to the direct order.

Right! I wish I would of found BF sooner. I've been dabbling on groups in Facebook & Reddit. That's actually how I found this place.

Great idea: Thanks! 👍

They are absolutely everything I need and more. I would of saved myself a lot of heart ache and money had I started here first!

I’ve had that thought a few times, but have since realized it’s not really true for me. I had to go through dozens of other knives to truly appreciate the attributes I like about CRK. I owned several of them before, sold them all, then ended up buying new ones after going through a lot of other stuff. I still get enticed but other knives, but I’ve come to the conclusion that if I could only own three folding knives from a single brand, an Umnumzaan, a small 21, and a Mnandi would be an ideal combo for me.
