Hello All,
Had a go at Damascus making at the weekend and tested our new forge on a 9 layer Semi Skinner.

progressed slowly up to 104 layers of C70 & 15n20 for the DPH.

learnt loads and cant wait for more billets and layer counts.
Thanks for looking

Just imagine what that second blade will look like with two more folds and a ladder pattern or a twist.

Looks good. I plan to try some when I am on vacation in August.

One more fold will get you in the right neighborhood for ladder pattern. I have made some pressed 180 layer stuff as seen in this little spearpoint fighter and while it does not have the shimmering "3D" effect of say 400+ layer ladder, it still looks good.

Very nice, clean blades. I personally like the lower layer count, although 9 might be just a bit low. Big thick layers that you can see without your glasses, that's what I like.

Thx guys,
yeah low Layer count has its drawbacks, so the next billet is 1000+ and maybe rain drop pattern...not sure.
