Hi all, the Busse / Infi bug bit me long ago and I have been watching the exchange on here and noticed that I can get the Infi can be had in the swamp rats and other Busse kin. I am looking for my first one in the 4"-6" range for small camp chores.

What do you think I should be looking to spend to get into my first Infi of that size?

I ask this because I came across a Swamp Rat Custom Shop INFI Ratmandu for under $300 and may have to jump on it. Its a lot to spend but if its a good deal I do have the funds if not I will keep searching.

I also thought this might be a good thread for anyone else looking to get into a Busse kin or and Infi steel to get an idea on what they can expect to spend

Thanks guys

Infidu was my first, 240 from a Ganza,, keep an eye on this forum and all sorts of great knives pop up

Ok thank you. I do like the Ratmandu in Infi but I didn't want to impulse buy because I loved its beauty / Infi

INFIDU is a great way to start right in the size you are looking for and that price is not far off the mark...remember Ganza prices are for that one event may never be that low again...

Infidu is one of best feeling knives in that size range, and the BIG finish ones go for around $300 on the exchange. IMO you can not do any better for $300 INFI right now. I suggest you go with your "impulse" and "buy" before they dry up.

Generally the least expensive way to buy INFI is directly off the BC web site. The pickings are pretty slim at the moment, but Jerry said there's more INFI coming soon. So unless you want to jump on that InfiDu you've got your eye on, I'd suggest you hang in there and see what pops up.

Thanks for the fast answers guys the Infidu looks nice as well, I will have to compare the specs on that to the Ratmandu. Anyone know the specs off hand. Still trying to learn all the names and models

Jerry said there's more INFI coming soon.

I think Jerry said there were "cool knives" coming soon. Did not mention INFI - and indeed since he's said that, we've seen two Battle Grade (SR101) offerings. But I do hope to see some new INFI soon!

To answer the OP, get the INFIdu. It matches what you want it for exactly.

Get the infidu. You won't find a better all around knife for the money. The RMD is probably the best selling Bussekin knife ever for a reason. I have 4 in that family. The infidu or swatmandu takes the rmd design up a notch. The infidu and swat are slightly different, but both are excellent knives

All is well. . . .

More INFI is coming SOON!!!!

I, of course, like it much more when we're all nice to each other. . . . plenty of room for all!!! . . . .

But that doesn't mean that I'm not going to raz my drinking buddies whenever I get a chance!!!

That's all part of being a BUSSE HOG!!!

So, Group Hog!!! . . . . errrr, I mean Group Hug!!!!

Let's Drink!!!

He did say in another thread there would be Infi offerings along soon

Shhhh lol, JK there are 2 on there right now for the same price. I sent a PM on one. Even if its not that one, INFI you will be mine one day!!!! Lol :D

Oh sir, beware. That innocent little RMD is a subtle but wicked gateway drug into the addictive world of Bussekin. Two years ago tomorrow!, I purchased an RMD Satin Pumpkin. Then another RMD, then a HOFSH, then a DSF, then...at last count, thirty one of the Wauseon, Ohio metal narcotics. You have been suitability warned...;-)

Whats the cost for a decent sheath for the Infidu. Can't have such a great knife and have the Infi be homeless.
