I really like these leather Classics! I mean I REALLY, REALLY like these!!

I just received a blue leather inlay to go along with my brown one, and it is just as sweet.

FWIW/FYI I emailed CRK about the leather and how it would hold up with carry. Bridget responded back and replied;

"this leather comes from France and is a very high
end product. It is sealed and embossed. It is the same leather that is used on the outside of Gucci pocketbooks. The knife and leather is designed to be carried and to be used everyday."

Bridget also said that if the leather got soaking wet to pat it dry and allow it to air dry, no forced drying.

Hope this answers any questions anyone may have had, it did for me.
:D :) :D

I have not had the chance to see one in person, but the pics look cool.

Art,

Don't forget to tickle that new baby for me, Gucci, Gucci, Goo :D

I hate to sound negitive but the leather inlay just does not get me excited, i think i would have see one.

I thought the same! Wasn't sure just how well I would like it. What I like is twofold;

1. I get polished frames, just like on a woody.
I like this as they seem to hold up better than the regular bead blasted ones. I've carried a regular Benza for several weeks and had several marks, but in carrying the polished frame woody and leather Classic I have had no marks. Go figure.

2. The leather is embossed and has a different feel to it, a bit gripper perhaps. It is inlaid flush with the handle slabs and cut to perfectly match where it fits. The satin finish frame and leather give a striking contrast. Since the leather is "sealed" I hope no shrinkage will occur.

Of course this is just me, and other opinions may vary;) :D

The best pictue of a leather inlay I have seen is here: http://www.bladeart.com/production/chris_reeve/reeve_classic_MM.jpg (From Larry's BladeArt page: http://www.bladeart.com/)

TallPaul has a pretty good pic. of the blue leather one: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/attachment.php?s=&postid=1481342

I also spoke to her about this. Perhaps treating the leather (additionally) with some sort of scotchguard would provide some additional peace of mind.
