Leather for a BK5 and BK15

I checked Patriot Leather they have some decent options for the BK5 not as many like I hope to find for the BK15 ...

but I want to see what you post with a standard snap sheath ... looks like you do very nice work.

And I may contact Grog to see where he's at or if he makes any sheaths with snaps ... I know he is crazy busy but I'm in no rush it may be a couple months before I get to finish up the knives after things calm down here.

Looked at Red Nose Leather too ... looks like more nice work ... may have to contsct him and see if he makes a snap sheath for these 2 knives.
 
Just got a shipping notice from Patriot. I’ll post pics when it gets here.:thumbsup:
 
Not thrilled with it but it is functional. Instead of running the retention strap around the handle I dropped it down like a traditional bowie sheath. The strap is pivoted so when unwrapped it will hang straight down behind sheath. My Patriot BK5 Gaspee came tonight. I like it, seems to be a quality product

It's nice he gets to use the hold open Hedgehog feature on his strap. Very nice. I asked Hedgehog about that but didnt feel the low volume was worth it.
 
That does looks like a nice sheath .. I was looking at their website the other night I think of what they offered I may go with the same sheath ...

I'm waiting to hear back from one maker and see if they make anything for the BK line.

Very happy with this one. The only downside which I hadn’t thought of is that the inside the snap for the blade retention will rub and scratch the blade.

I like to keep my knives pretty but if I’m using it as it should be it will exposed to a lot worse.
 
Beautiful sheaths..!!

I own a bk5 and just acquired a bk15...was wondering if any one has seen or makes a dual knife sheath..? Not really looking for the smaller knife on/over the bigger knife type, more like a side by side carry..?

If you send it back I'll line the sheath. No big deal. Takes about 20 minutes.
