Just looking for suggestions on how to take care of the rough leather handles found on both Camillus and Ontario pilot knives. Also what is the best way to preserve the smooth leather handles found on older Western hunting knives.
For smooth leather I use mink oil; that kiwi stuff works well.
For rough leather, any leather preservative intended for Nubuk or sued leather, should work. Oil also works on rough leather, but it changes the appearance.
