Leather handled Buck

I'd love to have a 118 like it. I'm not big on the LL Bean ones mainly because of the blade etching, and cost. A little pricey.

That is a truly nice skinner!! I like who the micarta/aluminum spacer was used behind the guard to get a good hard surface for the leather. That sheath is fantastic. I especially like the "Walking Lady" silver 50 cent piece. What year is the coin Jack? I'm estimating from during the War.

I'm guessing this is a project knife since noone's ever seen one before. If Buck had of done a run all us "Power eBay'ers" would have seen one pop up.

You want to sell it Jack? :D

A 4:00 project knife makes sense. It's really done right and I think I'll keep it.
Flat, I'll put your name on the list, though, and if anything ever happens to me, you can have it. OBTW, you're right about the date on the coin, too, it's 1943!

Another by the way for Flatlander, the Kaala that you put the ironwood handles on for me is lying here on my desk--within easy reach, just as it always is. There's not a day goes by that I don't use it. It's my primary letter opener and just this weekend, it did a job on a a piece of antelope steak!

Plumberdv, are the blades on those leather handled LL Beans mirror polished? I can't tell for certain from the photos, but it looks like they are to me.

now, if there was a way to see how a model 120 would look with a stack leather handle much like a military ka-bar.
