Leather Honing Belt For 2 X 72 Grinder

Has anyone tried a leather honing belt from Jantz or Blademaster (Hand American) on their 2 X 72 belt grinders for honing the edges? If so, what do you think of them?

I have never tried this(I am STILL working on my 2 x 72 which I will promise I will share with all if it works well, or hide under the shop and never mention again if it lays a big one)BUT I have heard tell of people using their WORN OUT cork belts with buffing compund. Surely that would be similar to what you are proposing. I seem to remember seeing leather belts to fit the grinders offered from some of the suppliers.
